The Education exhibition: a successful choice of place for education and the prospects for future professions.
The Azerbaijan International Education Exhibition, which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year, has started its work today at Baku Expo Centre. It is the only event in the country organised with the official support of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The exhibition is also supported by the Export and Investment Promotion Foundation of Azerbaijan (AzPromo) and the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs’ (Employers’) Organisations of the Azerbaijan Republic (ASK). The organiser of the exhibition is Caspian Event Organisers, CEO.
Deputy Minister of Education Jeyhun Bayramov made a speech at the opening ceremony of the Education and Career exhibitions. He noted that human capital was the basic philosophy of the development of any independent state. The achievement of this goal is largely associated with education. The high-speed technologies all over the world constantly demand updates, which in turn contributes to the emergence of new specialties. The foreign and domestic educational institutions represented at the current exhibition will undoubtedly contribute to this process. The Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan which has been supporting the exhibition for over a decade, introduces a host of both new and existing training programs. The exhibition remains the major event contributing to the development of cooperation between educational institutions from different countries. Ambassador of Poland to Azerbaijan Mr Marek Tsalka said that education remained a key element of long-term development of communities. He also added that a number of leading Polish universities were represented at this exhibition. Mr Tsalka expressed his confidence that the acquaintance with them would further strengthen economic and friendly relations between our countries.
Executive director CEO, Bahruz Hidayatzade cited impressive statistics of the exhibition. This year the exhibition involves 118 educational institutions from 14 countries, representing more than 60 different departments. Among exhibitors are universities, colleges, courses, schools, educational and research centres from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Hungary, Germany, Jordan, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and the Czech Republic. In general, the exhibition delivers to attention of visitors the undergraduate, graduate, postgraduate, and second higher education and MBA programs, Business English courses, internships and trainings. Visitors personally communicate with representatives of leading universities, schools and preschools. At this event one can learn how to srat the admission process, how to best prepare for it, what are the deadlines, how much they cost, how the accommodation is arranged and more. They will also be able to find out the rating of universities and specialties.
Traditionally, the exhibition brings together national groups - Poland (Go Poland), Lithuania (Study in Lithuania) and Turkey (Study in Turkey) are among them. Every year the Education exhibition expands the geography of its participants. This year a newcomer of the exhibition is a college from Jordan. The number of participants from Azerbaijan accounts for about 30% of the total number of exhibitors. Among local universities there are Azerbaijan State University of Oil and Industry, Azerbaijan Technical University, Azerbaijan State Economic University, Baku Business University, Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction, Azerbaijan Technological University (Ganja), Ganja State University, the Caucasus University, and IT Step Academy. The programs for education abroad are offered by local EduGuide Azerbaijan and CELT Colleges companies. The information on plans and programs for the future and projects entitled as “Maarifchi”, “Sabah”, “Bir Konullu”, “For Azerbaijan” and Azerbaijani-French University (UFAZ) is showcased on the stand of the Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan Republic. The difference of this year's exhibition is the new sector of primary and secondary education. It exhibits the international Sabis Sun School, the international Centre of Education Innovation entitled as “XXI century”, and the British School in Baku. Currently, kindergartens and schools are being built and renovated in Azerbaijan, which require the provision of modern equipment. Within the sector of "Modern equipment for educational institutions and multimedia system” the Lukas-Nuelle and Sinam companies demonstrate at the exhibition the laboratory equipment, interactive boards, computers for secondary and higher education institutions, different IT solutions used in schools and universities, and information technology training. In parallel, the opening of the 10th Anniversary Azerbaijan International Career Exhibition took place at the Baku Expo Centre. This is a dedicated event that provides opportunities for both direct employment and gaining experience of professional communication with specialists in recruitment (selection and assessment of personnel).
The exhibition is supported by Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The organiser of the exhibition is Caspian Event Organisers (CEO). Among the participants of the Career 2016 exhibition are Gilan Holding, SOCAR, SOCAR AQS, Azersun, and Baku Sea Port which showcase the educational programs and job vacancies to visitors. Visitors can get free advice on employment and fill out forms. Gilan Holding is planning to organise a seminar called “Tips for preparing an effective CV (Tips on job search, interviews and discussions)” on 8 October at 11.00. This seminar is open for everyone.
