The presentation of the “Sabah” project
The exhibition is accompanied by an extensive business programme. Today, as part of Education and Career, a presentation was held on the Sabah project, which aims to improve education and parenting methods, with support from the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
According to Deputy Minister for Education of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov, who made a speech at the opening of the exhibition, this project is very promising in terms of the positive changes it could make to the academic and educational environment in Azerbaijan.
During the presentation Elchin Atakhishiyev, head of the project, told the audience about it. Sabah aims to unite educational groups with capable and skilled students who are studying at Azerbaijani universities.
The purpose of the project is to create a new environment in the higher education system in order to produce employees whose skills meet today’s demands. The expected overall result is to improve the quality of higher education, ensuring the best training of future professionals through continual updates to the forms and methods of education. The project presents students with a number of advantages including an additional stipend, free room and board, the chance to participate in exchange programmes, the development of their intellectual and creative potential, work experience, and further training in innovative companies.
Foreign teachers are being attracted by the programme, modern educational methods are being applied, and research and consulting experience is implemented to ensure unconventional thinking and a broad outlook for the development of the project. Thus the programme ensures the progressive development of future specialists. Currently, 700 students have already been trained in 33 disciplines by 7 universities under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Education.
The heads of the HR departments of the large enterprises which have been offered the chance to participate in the educational process have been invited to this event. The benefit is obvious – in future recruiters will be able to choose the best specialists for their businesses!
