More than 100 higher educational institutions are expected at the Education exhibition
The 8th Azerbaijan International Education Exhibition and 8th Azerbaijan International Career Exhibition will open on the 10th of October at the Baku Expo Centre. The exhibitions will be organised by Iteca Caspian and Caspian Event Organisers (CEO). The Career exhibition will be a separate exhibition for the first time. This decision was made due to the growth in demand for valuable human resources in Azerbaijan. The organisation of the Career exhibition under the new brand has already brought positive results demonstrated by the growth in the number of exhibitors this year.
The Education and Career exhibitions are the only events on these subjects in an exhibition format, which allows both exhibitors and visitors to use the opportunities offered by the events more effectively and hold detailed negotiations at the stands, which will help to make decisions about future professions or workplaces. Another important factor is that the Education and Career exhibitions are the only exhibitions in Azerbaijan organised with the official support and active involvement of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The support of the Ministry underlines the importance of the exhibition for the development of these sectors in the country and helps to attract national groups and local higher education institutions to exhibit at these events.
One of the examples of this close interaction is that one of the consultants of the pilot Sağlam Təhsil method which is being introduced in a number of schools in the capital in the first years of education from 15th September, is Professor and Doctor of Medical Sciences Vladimir Bazarny, author of the unique "A healthy education - a healthy nation" method. The first time that Professor Bazarny presented his own system for changing educational institutions to a foundation of health development was at the Education and Career 2013 exhibition, where he was invited by the organisers with the assistance of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
More than 100 exhibitors from 20 countries are expected at the Education and Career exhibitions. Exhibitors at the Education exhibition will present BA and MBA programmes, language courses, business programmes and systems for studying abroad. As always, national stands will be exhibiting at the event. 15 of the most prestigious higher educational institutions in Lithuania will be presented by the Lithuanian national stand, who have exhibited at the show many times. The Study in Slovakia organisation will present all of the 44 private and state higher educational institutions in Slovakia, who will be making their debut at the exhibition.
It is a great development that major foreign universities are joining the exhibition this year, including the Cracow University of Economics which is the largest state university in Poland, the Emirates Aviation University, Moscow State University of Economics, Statistics, and Informatics (MESI), the International School of Business in Budapest, British Higher School of Art and Design (Moscow) and many others. The number of representatives of educational institutions from Azerbaijan is also growing. The list of exhibitors already contains the Azerbaijan University of Languages, Azerbaijan State Economic University, CELT Colleges, Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS) and a number of other educational institutions in the country. The Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan will also be one of the exhibitors, presenting information about the plans and programmes of the ministry for the next several years. Alongside the educational institutions, exhibitors will include companies offering laboratory equipment, interactive blackboards and computers for secondary and higher educational institutions.
The Career exhibition, which will take place on the same dates is also demonstrating stable growth in the number of exhibitors. This year, companies such as Azercell, Azersun Holding, Bakcell, British American Tobacco, BP, Halliburton, JTI, SOCAR, Technip Abu Dhabi, Unibank will present their vacancies in the fields of banking, oil and gas, telecommunications, finance, legal services, sales and marketing and energy. The Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan is planning to hold consultations with non-governmental youth organisations and associations that help school leavers and university graduates to choose the work which is right for them, collect documents and go through job interviews, as well as offering a lot of other useful advice about job searching.
Every year, the Career exhibition features meetings between employers and those who are involved in training future employees. This year will be no exception, with a round table that will be held on the territory of the Baku Expo Centre where the heads of HR departments and representatives of higher educational institutions will hold detailed discussions.
In this way, the exhibitions will offer a unique platform for the choice of both education and future career. Entry to the Career exhibition is open to all job seekers, while entry to the Education exhibition is only open to industry professionals, university students, university applicants, school students in the last 2 years of education and their parents. Quick registration is already available on the official exhibition websites.
A new service is going to be introduced the official website of the Education exhibition - www.education.iteca.az, where meetings for students with representatives of higher education institutions can be arranged. This service will allow registered visitors to use their time at the exhibition more effectively. The service will continue to be available on the website after the end of the event for those students that have visited the exhibition and left their contact details. Special buses from Nariman Narimanov station will be organised to regularly take visitors to the exhibition venue. The exhibitions will be open until the 12th of October.
