The effectiveness of recruiting high potential staff among young people
ShalalaIbrahimova, Head of the HR Department, SOCAR-AQS:
- All of today’s organizations are interested in human resources and are therefore creating databases for the recruitment of high potential staff among young people. This is why we are participating in this exhibition - we believe that it provides great opportunities for the recruitment of new specialists.
Our enterprise has been operating since 2007; we conduct offshore operations at the Guneshli field in close connection with SOCAR. Today we have 700 employees. We follow the European practice of recruitment. The company’s employee performance assessment system allows individuals to build their careers in particular fields, where they can make the best use of their abilities. In order to train professional staff, our company has developed various programmes. These include a summer camp programme for 3rd-4th year students and holders of Master’s degrees, and this is represented at Education & Career 2013. This year, we organized a summer practical training in which 13 students took part.
On the first day of the exhibition we observed young people’s significant interest in employment issues, and in making applications, interviewing and so on. We are striving to provide all the visitors to our stand with as much useful information as possible and to effectively demonstrate the opportunities of our enterprise, which offers a great future for young, talented and hardworking specialists.
