The 8th Azerbaijan International Education Exhibition and 8th Azerbaijan International Career Exhibition will open on the 10th of October at the Baku Expo Center
The 8th Azerbaijan International Education Exhibition and 8th Azerbaijan International Career Exhibition will open on the 10th of October at the Baku Expo Center. The Education and Career exhibitions are the only events on these subjects in an exhibition format, which allows both exhibitors and visitors to use the opportunities offered by the events more effectively and to have detailed negotiations at the stands, which help to make decisions about future professions or workplaces.
One of the important factors about these events is that these are the only exhibitions in the country which are organised with the official support of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The support of the Ministry underlines the importance of the exhibition for the development of these sectors in the country and helps to attract national groups and local higher education institutions to exhibit.
The introduction of the "Sağlam Təhsil" methodology in a number of schools in the capital is a great example of this cooperation. One of the consultants for the pilot methodoly is Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Vladimir Bazarny, the author of the unique "Healthy education - healthy nation" methodology. The first time that Professor Bazarny presented his own system for changing educational institutions to a foundation of health development was at the Education and Career 2013 exhibition, where he was invited by the organisers with the assistance of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The exhibition also has the support of the Azerbaijan Fund for the Promotion of Export and Investment (AZPROMO) and the National Confederation of Entrepreneur Organisations (Employers) of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The exhibition is organised by Iteca Caspian and Caspian Event Organisers (CEO).
The Education and Career exhibitions will have 122 exhibitors from 20 countries this year, demonstrating 20% growth compared to the previous edition. National groups have always been part of the exhibition, including the Lithuanian national stand which will present 15 top higher educational institutions in Lithuania and the Study in Slovakia organisation which will present 44 Slovakian higher education institutions. Debut exhibitors will include the Netherlands, Kazakhstan, Latvia and Slovakia.
This year, the exhibition will be joined by major foreign universities such as the Krakow University of Economics which is the largest state university in Poland, the Emirates Aviation University, Moscow State University of Economics, Statistics, and Informatics (MESI), the International School of Business in Budapest, British Higher School of Art and Design (Moscow), Help University and Nottingham University (Malaysia), Webster University (USA), Saxion University of Applied Sciences (Netherlands), Maastricht School of Management (Netherlands), Inholland University of Applied Sciences (Netherlands), Nazarbaev University (Kazakhstan), Baltic International Academy (Latvia) and other prominent institutions.
The number of representatives of educational institutions from Azerbaijan is also growing. The list of exhibitors includes the Azerbaijan State Economic University, Azerbaijan Technological University, Azerbaijan State Agricultural University, Baku Higher Oil School, Baku State University, Baku Slavic University, Baku Business University, Ganja State University, Tefekkur University, CELT and a number of other educational institutions. The Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan will also be one of the exhibitors, presenting information about the plans and programmes of the ministry for the next several years.
Visitors will be presented with bachelors, masters, PhD, second higher education and MBA courses, foreign language for business courses, internships and training sessions. Exhibition visitors will have the opportunity to speak to representatives of leading higher education institutions directly and ask the questions that interest them to find out how to begin the application process, what is the best way to prepare for it, what are the timescales for supplying documents, the price of education, the accommodation available, the ranking of institutions and subjects and many other important details. Foreign exhibitors have prepared special offers for representatives of the higher education institutions of Azerbaijan related to student exchange programmes, delegations and research cooperation.
Kindergartens and schools which need modern equipment are being built and renovated in Azerbaijan at the moment. The "Equipment for educational institutions" section of the exhibition will demonstrate interactive boards, computers for secondary and higher education and laboratory equipment which can help with this process. A full list of exhibitors is available on the official website of the exhibition at www.eduexpo.az
The Career exhibition is an independent project this year and will be taking place under a new brand. The Operations Committee of the 1st European Games 2015 in Baku will be at the exhibition to invite young and talented people to work for the Baku Games 2015. International exhibition organiser Iteca Caspian is also exhibiting for the second time and presenting vacancies including project manager, accountant, web designer and call centre operative. Visitors will also have the opportunity to take advantage of free consultations on job seeking.
A substantial business programme will also be a significant feature of the exhibition.
