Post-show Release of 9th Azerbaijan International Education Exhibition
The 9th Education Azerbaijan 2015 exhibition has taken place from the 9 to 11 of October at the Baku Expo Centre. The Education exhibition is the only exhibition in the country organised with the official support of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The support of the Ministry underlines the importance of the exhibition for the development of this sector in the country and helps to attract national groups and local higher education institutions to exhibit at this exhibition. The Education exhibition took place alongside the 9th Azebaijan International Career 2015 exhibition.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Jeyhun Bayramov, Deputy Minister of Education noted: “We are pleased that the interest in this event is growing from year to year. The “Education” and “Career” exhibitions form contacts between youth and employers, contributes to the credibility of education. Through these connections, it is necessary to mention the examples of the projects completed in the past year. The branch of the First Moscow State Medical University named after I. M. Sechenov, as well as the Azerbaijani-French University were opened in Baku. It is telling that a number of national universities today apply the practice of granting dual diplomas, which is important in improving the educational process at the international level. "Sabah" project of the Ministry was presented in the last exhibition, and during this period the number of universities participating in that project has increased. Thus, the exhibition has had a positive impact on the development of the project.”
This year the ‘Education’ exhibition was attended by 124 institutions from 16 different countries. The exposition will be comprised of 75 paid and free faculties, courses and programmes on various. Exhibition participants included universities, colleges and training programmes, as well as government organizations and institutions from Azerbaijan, Russia, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, the United Arab Emirates, Poland, USA, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Switzerland, Hungary and other countries. Information on foreign education opportunities for Azerbaijani youth was presented at the exhibition by 5 national stands from Lithuania, Poland and Turkey, as well as the United States and Latvia who are debutants this year. In general, the new exhibitors account for 30% of the total number of participants. The foreign universities took part in the exhibition for the first time include the I. M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University (1st MGMU), the S. P. Korolev Samara State Aerospace University, the Institute of Transport and Communications of Latvia, the National University of Science and Technology “MISiS” (formerly Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys State Technological University), Mordovia State National Research University named after N.P. Ogarev and the University of Euroregional Economy in Poland.
The basis for the exhibition was made on a variety of university programmes and opportunities for the acquisition of Bachelor's, Master's, MBA and PhD degrees, as well as language courses. Due to the fact that the leadership of our country pays great attention to the development of the non-oil sector of the economy, this year, universities have made proposals on education in the field of tourism, robotics, information technology, technical education (engineering) and process automation. The following specialties are widely presented at the exhibition: Business and Marketing, Computer Science and Computer Technology, Medical Education (which is presented at the exhibition via as many as five specialties, including biotechnology). The new IT-technologies facilitating the education process was presented at the exhibition by companies including Lukas-Nuelle and Sinam. Furthermore, ITE - Innovative Technologies in Education Company - and others demonstrated interactive whiteboards, computers for secondary and higher education and laboratory equipment.
An extensive business programme has been scheduled for the Education and Career exhibitions. As such, Ultra Computers organized a seminar presentation on Electronic Education - An innovative approach to the educational process. The memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijan University of Technology and Caspian Event Organisers (CEO). Large audience gathered seminar The “Educational Programmes for Girls”. Seminar was attended by school directors, school psychologists and representatives of the Ministry of Education. Mrs Margaret Moulton - International Consultant to Independent Schools and Associations of the United States - participated as a speaker.
The number of visits to Education 2015 and Career 2015 reached 13344, which is higher than the figure for last year. The majority of the visitors that came to the exhibition this year were school leavers, students, their parents, secondary school and higher education teachers as well as industry professionals.

Thus, the Education exhibition presented a unique platform for the selection of education both inside the country and abroad.
The exhibition has the support of the Azerbaijan Fund for the Promotion of Export and Investment (AZPROMO) and the National Confederation of Entrepreneur Organisations (Employers) of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
